Sorry for the light posting as of late... School has started and things are busy. Two new items of news:

Richard, my brother, was just accepted to the London School of Economics program to pursue a MSc in Development Studies. He won't know if he's made the Harvard or Johns Hopkins programs until March. It's nice to have a gotten in to LSE, but it's also nice to have a choice...
I've been asked to participate in the Voting System Performance Rating organization (VSPR) in a substantial role. I don't think I can discuss the VSPR further until their launch other than to point you to their CACM article, "Evaluation of Voting Systems". Stay tuned!
