Next Blog: "This Blog will be Deleted by Tomorrow"

Danah turned me on to blogger's "next blog" link at the top of most blogger.com pages. It's fun to watch... I'll post weird stuff I find now and then to my linkblog (NQL) under a special category called "next blog quotes". Here's one to get us started from the blog, "Deleted by Tomorrow."

I have received an email from Conservationists Anonymous, in which they virtually begged me not to delete this blog. Deleting this blog would be deleterious to the balance in the blogging ecosystem, they claimed. Preservation of a healthy blogosphere rests on individual actions of the bloggers. Deletion of a blog, however small or unimportant, could spark a whole wave of other deletions, tipping the blogosphere out of its equilibrium; they pleaded in a strange reminiscence of domino theories of yesteryear. A Blogger Warming thus created could destroy years of diligent cultivation of the blogging environment, they concluded. And we don%u2019t want that to happen, do we now?
