Trifecta: p2p that couldn't be sued out of existence...
Bill French and Parker Thompson (students of Pam's) have released their Trifecta paper to the world (one of the many cool SIMS Master's degree projects this year). After the code-freeze on Wednesday, the Trifecta application will also be released to the world.
So what is this? Why is it interesting? Trifecta is meant to be a p2p client that could not possibly be sued out of existence by the content industry. Why? Because no one using it will be infringing copyright per se.
For more, read their white paper. (Definitely, at least skim it before you dismiss it as "more DRM".)
