My latest review for Clink! has just gone live... I reviewed Decahedron's Disconnection_Imminent. Here's a brief snipet:

Disconnection_Imminent [Lovitt Records]

Decahedron's first full-length, Disconnection_Imminent, is the follow-up to an EP recorded in late 2002 under the name The Black Sea. Due to trademark issues, the band changed their name but don't seem to have changed an ounce of their captivating style. This style left reviewers of their Black Sea EP with the music-appreciation equivalent of blue balls. Disconnection_Imminent doesn't disappoint and shows the trio of Jason Hamacher, Shelby Cinca (both formerly of Frodus) and Joe Lally (bassist for Fugazi) weaving intricate webs of progressive rock mixed with punk rock. Would that be prog punk? Whatever it is, fans of Fugazi and King Crimson should own and will appreciate this album.
