Microsoft, free software, tax breaks and crack
Vendor lock-in is the name of the game for Microsoft as it slowly begins its inevitable downward spiral into obscurity. How desperate are they? In addition to poluting millions of our nation's children with their software via free handouts of software to primary and secondary schools, it seems that Microsoft has also been giving away its Office product to adults for free to get them addicted.
Has anyone out their seen New Jack City... Weseley Snipes, ICE-T, etc? This tactic sounds exactly like that used by crack dealers. Unfortunately, it is more nefarious than crack dealing as Microsoft gets a tax break for giving away software... which is why the biggest player in the software industry pays no corporate tax.
