$55 Billion due to viruses in 2003...

Ho hum... Trend Micro has estimated the damage due to viruses in 2003 at $55 Billion. That's a lot... so I had a great idea: how about lending network security a page out of the book of biology? That is, what if we had the algorithmic equivalent to white blood cells and an immune system? Then we could have vaccinations and the like and perhaps a robust security system for the net. One problem: someone else has already thought of it! Posted by joebeone at Enero 19, 2004 10:03 AM
