Today's Earthquake
I just felt the weirdest earthquake... after living in California for a few years, you're bound to feel one or two small ones. This one felt like something exploded very far away (so that I couldn't hear the explosion) and the subsequent blast wave very briefly (much less than one second) rattled my apartment complex. I checked the USGS' Latest Quake Info page and sure enough, it was a magnitude 3.1 quake. Here's a picture... and, for reference, I live right smack dab in the middle of that red square!
